How Cannabis Went From Being Illegal To Store Shelves

2020 has been an incredibly interesting year to say the least. While some segments of the business world collapsed like Disneyland and many restaurants others reached new highs and new levels of acceptance.

The results from the 2020 election moved cannabis into a position to be considered at or near the top of the list of winning industries. In every state where any form of cannabis legislation was on the ballot the measures were approved by voters. Mississippi and South Dakota even voted to approve medical cannabis measures! As I sit here more than 34% of America lives in a state with legal cannabis at one level or another!

From all indications cannabis has moved from illegal back alleys to main-street and is even starting to appear on store shelves. Who would have expected celebrity names like Jay-Z and Nicole Kidman among other would tie their names and reputations to cannabis and would they do this without this level of acceptance.

Sometime in 2021 it appears you’ll be able to go into many well established stores and find cannabis products on store shelves. I am not talking about only dispensaries! We are seeing high level packaging and the initial introduction of QR codes for packaging. Google has embraced the cannabis trend and is helping the industry gain the traction needed to scale.

The next phase of growth will include bring on new growers and new investors. Many people have made fortunes by investing in Bitcoin and when you ask them what a Bitcoin is many have no ready answer for you. The odds are you or someone you know quite well already uses some form of cannabis and this includes CBD oils and lotions. I haven’t even mentioned the applications within the animal care world where PetClub retails CBD products. Tempted to get on board? Give us a call and let’s see what’s possible!
